With airfreight a bit expensive and sea freight too slow, is there a middle way to send cargoes?

Thursday, January 18, 2018

What can be a better way to start a year than by looking back, re-evaluating our life choices, and finding ways to better our lives? For those faced with the task of sending and delivering products, personal effects, raw materials, or gifts, we ask “what options do we have to improve our office logistics and delivery practice? How can we best send our packages to friends and relatives in the provinces?”

Our options used to be boxed into two: send packages via either air or sea freight - a choice between spending so much or waiting so long.  But it’s 2018! There certainly is a better way! As we celebrate the start of the year, let’s look for a smarter and reliable way to accomplish this task.

Send it via Quick Cargo Bus System

The Cargo Bus System, operated by Quick in partnership with FastCat, Jam, and Philtranco, is a logistics service delivery that utilizes buses and the RORO system. Commercial cargoes are loaded in either cargo buses or bellies of passenger buses which are then driven onto roll-on/roll-off (ro-ro) vessels.

The cargo bus system is way faster than loose cargo sea freight but more affordable than air freight

Sending your packages via Quick Cargo Bus system is cheaper than airfreight. You can ship packages for as low as P238.50 per 10kg to Mindanao. Delivery time is faster than sea freight.  A package sent via cargo buses takes only three days from Manila to Davao, as compared with the usual 14 days using traditional sea freight system.

If you are a bus passenger traveling with loads of boxes, you can also benefit from the Quick Cargo Bus service in select bus terminals.  Upon arrival at the terminal, you could drop-off your baggage at the check-in area, go up the bus, enjoy your ride, and claim your baggage upon arrival at your destination.  Through this system, you can trust Quick to professionally handle your cargoes.

Go to your nearest Jam, Philtranco, or FastCat terminals and find out how you can send cargoes in affordable, quick, and reliable way.
